Active Meditation: With Light, Good Thoughts, Feelings and Images
There is a Meditation technique in Yoga, which many great masters from different wisdom traditions practiced: Active meditation. In this Meditation the restless mind is directed to the highest energies like the cosmic light, good thoughts, feelings, images and self-healing. Active meditation is adapted to the way, our brain works, because no one can simply think of nothing and be in deep connection with the “Highest” like the enlightened masters.
Active Meditation is good for everyone who can’t keep the focus and is also a good MEDITATION FOR BEGINNERS. Active Meditation includes classic Meditation, which is about deep connection with the highest sources of energy, with the elements of Chakra Meditation, Selfhealing, Visualization and Manifestation. The process follows a specific pattern, but can also be modified individually.
Active Meditation: in Connection with the Highest
Like other Meditation techniques, Active Meditation is about connecting with our highest energy source, also called Universe, Sky, God, Creator, Brahman, Ra, Allah or Light. We bring our attention to the source, where our life energy comes from, which is called Prana in Yoga. However, only a few people deeply connect to the highest energies right from the start. Most people experience this state after many hours of deep Meditation.
In Active Meditation we connect with the „Highest“ by focusing on the cosmic light and high vibrational thoughts and feelings like unconditional love, perfect health, our desires and dreams. We are deeply grateful for the gifts the universe has given us us so far. After some time we suddenly drift into higher spheres. At first, this state only lasts a few seconds, later minutes and hours until we permanently are in connection with the highest energy.
Active Meditation with Love
In order to get away from everyday thoughts, which have more or less lower vibrations, into a higher energy field, we need a vehicle: UNCONDITIONAL LOVE. It has the highest vibrational frequency and the strongest transformational power to transform negativity into positivity and resolve any problems and conflicts. In Active Meditation we focus on love, which can be expressed in various ways, for example, with feelings of happiness, joy and gratitude.
Active Meditation with Gratitude
In all wisdom traditions, spiritual activities like prayers begin with deep gratitude to the Creator. For many people it is difficult, to feel immediately love. Therefore we need the feeling of gratitude as a precursor of love energy to immerse into love. In Active Meditation we also start with deep gratitude for everything, the universe has given us. According to universal laws, we receive more of the things, we are grateful for.
First and foremost, give thanks for the following things, even if they have not yet or fully shown up in your life:
- Absolute Health
- Happiness and Luck
- Power and Strength
- Prosperity and Abundance
- Peace and Freedom
- Intuition and Glarity
- Assertiveness
- Willpower
- Individual themes like a great job, partner, special skills and talents etc.
Active Meditation with Chakra Meditation
Active Meditation also includes Chakra Meditation. Physically we have seven CHAKRAS. They are the power centers of our subtle energy system, where the universal life energy is absorbed and flows into each of our cells through finest channels. The Chakras are located along the spinal cord and brain. They are connected to other Chakras outside our body, which connect us to the sun and other stars. We are part of the energy system of the universe.
Chakra Meditation is about maintaining or restoring the flow of energy by cleansing, healing and energizing each chakra, one after the other, with white-gold light. You can start with the Root Chakra or with the Crown Chakra, whatever feels good for you. First bring cleansing light into the Chakras and then healing energizing light, either in the same or in reverse order.
This way negative emotions and traumas, which are stored in our Chakras and block the energy flow, can be dissolved. With the help of the cosmic energies we use in Active Meditation, we can even dissolve heavy karmic knots like deep traumatas, experienced by our anchestors. It’s best to start with a guided Chakra Meditations from a personal teacher or online. Once you feel, where the Chakras are located, you can meditate yourself on them.
Feel Love in Active Meditation
Active Meditation is about feeling love in your heart and letting it flow, either as part of Chakra Meditation or independent from it. Feel the unconditional love that the universe gives you and pass it on to your loved ones and all other living beings in this world, Mother Earth and of course to yourself.
Stay in love as long as you like. In your thoughts, embrace the whole world and all beings and shine your light on the unfortunate and on dark places, where war and suffering taking place. Only with the energy of love, which we generate on earth, we can prevent wars and create peace, freedom, health and prosperity for all. If you find it difficult to feel love, just think of a person or animal, that you love unconditionally, even if the being is no longer alive. Begin this love exercise with gratitude for all the good and beautiful things in your life. The feeling of gratitude will make you love.
Selfhealing with Active Meditation
You can also focus on Selfhealing in Active Meditation, by directing healing light to weak or blocked Chakras and weak or sick areas of your body. Same time be grateful for the instant healing you receive. This type of Selfhealing is found in all wisdom traditions. It has now been scientifically proven, that belief in healing can miraculously dissolve diseases. However, it takes deep trust in the cosmic forces and strong mental strength to keep the focus on healing. Remember, everything we think, feel, say and do is amplified by the universe and becomes our reality.
Visualization and Manifestation in Active Meditation
In Active Meditation we focus our thoughts on all the things, we personally like to experience in our life. You should have a clear idea, how you want to live and work, what skills you want to develop or what people and cultures you want to meet. If you know exactly, where your life is heading to, you can visualize your ideal place to live, job or partner looks like in Meditation.
Your dreams will manifest if you stick on your goals and don’t change them or wish something contradictory. The manifestation of your dreams can be amplified, by feelings of happiness and joy. Be just grateful, that everything came into your reality, exactly as you wanted. Feel the love that the universe gives you by fulfilling your dreams. If you have no idea what your dream life looks like, you can meditate on your perfect health and look for inspiration in everyday life, ideally with Daydreams until you gain clarity, what you want.
Meditate at least one hour
Meditate as long as you like, ideally one hour and in the morning. You can start with 15-20 minutes and then gradually spend one hour in Meditation. If you want to immerse in higher levels of consciousness, you need time and space. After all, everyday thoughts and feelings have to subside, before you are capable to consciously connect with the Highest.
