Most of them worked as healers and spoke in divine language, because they are deeply connected with the divine energies. Enlightened Masters: Paramahamsa Yogananda
Do you know the book “The Autobiography of a Yogi”? It is considered as one of the best books in the world and was written by Paramahansa Yogananda. Many successful entrepreneurs, such as Steve Jobs, Bill Gates or Mark Zuckerberg, confess to read Yogananda’s book once a year. Divine light shines from every sentence of this book. He wrote more books and gave public speeches in USA and Great Britain, all about Unconditional Love and the Supreme.
The Enlightened Master was born in 1893 in India in Kalkutta. He is one of the Yogis who brought Yoga Science to the Western world at the beginning of the 20th century. In the USA, he also taught Kriya Yoga, mental and physical exercises, with special breathing techniques, which are very effective for deep Meditation.
Enlightened Masters: Shrdi Sai Baba
In India, near Mumbai in Shirdi, there was a very famous Saint, the Enlightened Master Shrdi Sai Baba. He was born around 1836 or 1856 and lived under a Neem tree. He lived in an ascetic way and meditated all day long, in the hot sun as well in heavy rain. People became curious about him and guessed, he must be holy. So they asked this extraordinary man for his blessings.
He performed many miracles, such as curing people from severe diseases or helping people with problems. He explained, that he does not belong to any religion and sees everyone with the same eyes. He helped people regardless of their religion. He is still very present in India today and is worshipped by many Hindus, Muslims and Christians.
Enlightened Masters: Rumi
Jalal ad-Din Muhammed Rumi was enlightened, that’s for sure. Each of his poems reveal, that this Sufi master, mystic and scholar, was deeply connected with our highest source “The One” and drew all his energy and words from it.
The Enlightened Master was born in 1207 in today’s Afghanistan or Tajikistan. Because of Mongols, who invaded in the area, he and his family flee to Mecca. On the way, he met the famous Sufi master Din-Attar, who initiated him into the teachings of Sufism. The family moved on to Konya, Turkey, where Rumi settled. There he founded a Sufi order and wrote his greatest works. His words have the high vibration of unconditional love, which connects us with the Highest.

Enlightened Masters: Hildegard von Bingen
Of course, among the saints there are also women, like the Enlightened Master Hildegard of Bingen, who lived in Germany in the deep Middle Ages in the 12th century. She was a nun and the principal of the Benedictine order in Bingen. Hildegard had many talents. She was a composer of divine music and a healer with holistic understanding of medicine.
She was also in active contact with traders from the Orient, who brought her exotic remedies like frankincense and pepper. Her books with health recommendations and recipes for healthy healing food are still very popular today, like her angelic music, which takes us to the highest dimensions.
Enlightened Masters: Ramana Maharshi
Enlightened masters usually feel their special connection to the Highest as children, including Ramana Maharshi. He lived in India from 1879-1950 and founded Advaita Vedanta in Tiruvanamalai, which is about Non-Duality. This Vedic teaching emphasizes, that everything is One and in reality there is no you and me nor others and me, because energetically we are all connected to each other and form a union.
